A new book called Failures of American Methods of Lawmaking in Historical and Comparative Perspectives (2018), written by James R. Maxeiner has been published.

This book explodes the myth of dominance of judge-made law in the U.S.A., by showing that statues have had a much greater role in the American law than the legal professionas acknowledge.

James R. Maxeiner is the associate diretor of the Centre for International and Comparative Law at the University of Baltimore.
