The Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi has appointed Professor Nicola Lupo as Coordinator of the “Unit for Better Regulation” (Unità per la razionalizzazione e il miglioramento della regolazione), for the purpose of implementing the NRP National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza, NRRP).
Nicola Lupo is full professor of Public Law at LUISS Guido Carli in Rome. PhD from the University of Florence, he has been advisor to the Chamber of Deputies, member of the Simplification Unit, study assistant at the Constitutional Court and advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance. He was holder of the Jean Monnet Chair on Democracy in the European Union and visiting professor at several universities.
The Italian jurist has maintained a strong relationship with the IAL throughout the years. In 2019, he joined the Scientific Committee and organised the annual IAL Conference in Rome.
