The Bingham Center for the Rule of Law in partnership with the journal Theory and Practice of Legislation will host the webinar “Law-making in Illiberal Regimes” on 20 July from 16:00 to 17:30 UK time.

The goal of this webinar is to examine the inter-relationship between illiberal tendencies in government and the law-making process. Do illiberal states show evidence of a particular type of law-making process? Or do certain types of law-making process make it easier to have illiberal tendencies in government? The speakers will report on the experience of Poland, Hungary, Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey and Italy. It will be chaired by Professor Dr Tímea Drinóczi and Dr Ronan Cormacain.

The webinar is free to attend, but advance registration is required.
