The National Regulatory Control Council (NKR–Nationalen Normenkontrollrates) presented the 2020 annual report “The Crisis as a Wake-Up Call: Modernise Public Services, Build on the Momentum for Digital Change, Make Legislation Easy to Enforce”.
The NKR takes stock of the examined draft bills of the federal government and the reduction of bureaucracy and the digitization of the administration.
The annual report contains the latest proposals from the NKR to reduce bureaucracy, including simplifications in tax law and measures to accelerate planning and approval processes.
The NKR criticizes the federal government’s frequent breaches of rules in matters of better regulation. The report contains far-reaching proposals for sustainable improvement in the preparation of legal regulations.
