In June 2025, the Centre for Policy Analysis (CEPA), Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), Population Social Development Institute (PSDI), International Association of Legislation (IAL), African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) and Parliament of Uganda are hosting the Inaugural Africa Regional Conference on Parliament and Legislation (AFRIPAL). 

This landmark event’s theme is Parliaments in Africa: Opportunities and Prospects for Sustainable Development.

We are now inviting proposals for sessions and panels under the following sub-themes:

1.      Emergencies and Parliamentary Functions.
2.      Parliaments, 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
3.      Post-Legislative Scrutiny and Legislative Impact Assessment.
4.      Parliamentary Partnerships, Learning, and Adaptations.
