The Observatory for Better Regulation (Observatório para a Qualidade da Lei / UFMG), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fabiana de Menezes, develops, since 2006, scientific research and advanced studies on the legislative drafting, including conceptual elements of Better Regulation, Legisprudence, and Regulatory Impact Assessment.

For this purpose, in addition to international partnerships, it has a heterogeneous group of researchers from the most diverse areas, such as Law, Political Science, Geography, Etc.

Because of the current global and national scenario of extreme relevance that certain topics are debated to the point of exhaustion, as a way of improving the decision-making of public agents, and with a significant contribution to civil society, the role of the Observatory is to promote access to knowledge and information research he has done for almost 15 years.

For these reasons, the Observatory announces the event: “Legislative and Impact Assessment: challenges and perspectives”, on 20 August at 09:00 am GMT-3 (Brasília time) on the Observatory’s YouTube channel.

Speakers: Prof. Dr. Natasha Salinas (FGV-Rio), Prof. Dr. Fernando Meneguin (Federal Senate), Flávia Pessoa (Legislative Consultant to the Executive of Minas Gerais), Prof. José Alcione Bernardes Jr. (Minas Gerais State Assembly), Prof. Dr. Manuel Cabugueira (Lusófona University).

Chairs: Prof. Dr. Fabiana de Menezes Soares (Observalei / UFMG); Ruth Schmitz de Castro (Minas Gerais State Assembly).
