The Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV), a cabinet-level ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany, is organizing the 5th European Symposium on the Comprehensibility of Legal Provisions on 11 March 2021, online.

The series titled “European Symposia on the Comprehensibility of Legal Provisions” addresses a wide range of activities and instruments which can help make legal provisions comprehensible for both the legal community and the general public. It intends to combine the political commitment to better legislative drafting, as well as recent insights about the interrelationship between law and language, with practical drafting work and effectively conveying the law to the general public.
