The Jean Monnet Chair on EU Approach to Better Regulation of the Lumsa University is organizing a lecture on “Regulation and the Covid-19 Response: Protecting Safety or Endangering it?” by Florentin Blanc, OECD Senior Policy Analyst.

It will outline key regulatory aspects of the Coronavirus crisis response, identifying areas of concern and focusing on the most thorny regulatory issues.

The epidemiological emergency requires a regulatory intervention. Regulation affects the availability of the tools necessary to fight the virus, as well as the design and implementation of rules to control and curb its spread. Even during a lockdown, it is necessary to guarantee certain services and it is at this point where regulation and enforcement come into play. They will enable economic and social recovery, likewise preparing for future crises.

The lecture is to be held on Google Meet, on April 6, 2020, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Those interested in joining should ask for the link to Rossana Amoroso (rossana.amoroso92@gmail.com).
