A revised and updated third edition of the textbook on legislative drafting entitled Teoria e tecnica legislativa nel sistema costituzionale, written by Enrico Albanesi (Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at the Department of Law, University of Genoa) has just been published, seven years after the second edition and thirteen years after the first edition.
The textbook is mainly aimed at University students but also at practitioners and academics interested in an overall critical analysis of legislative drafting in the constitutional system. It mainly focuses on the Italian jurisdiction but also benefits from the research carried out into the British system by the Author whilst Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London.
Along with the update of relevant legislation, case-law, academic literature, and best practices, the third edition gives more space to the dimension of regulation and evaluation of public policies, and that of the application of artificial intelligence to legislative drafting, regulation and evaluation of public policies.
