The Institute of Advanced Legal Studies of the University of London in cooperation with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) are offering a Certified course on legislative scrutiny, AI and digital lawmaking. The course will take place online in February 2027 with the option to complete 6 modules in person in Berlin in March 2027.
The course explores the theory and practice of legislative scrutiny and the role of technology and AI to assist these efforts. It targets:
- Members of parliament and parliamentary staff
- Legislative drafters and legal advisers
- Policy analysts and civil servants
- Technology officers in governments and parliaments
- Tech initiatives interested in democratic governance
- Political party representatives interested in oversight, law and tech governance
- Civil society organisations involved in law and tech governance
- Academics and researchers in public policy, governance, and technology
