On 5 June 2026, the International Conference Legislative Drafting and Better Regulation: Current Trends was held at the Faculty of Law of the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), bringing together academics and legislative experts from different jurisdictions to discuss current developments and future challenges in legislative drafting and better regulation.

The conference featured a strong participation of IAL members, including IAL Co-President João Tiago Silveira, Mauro Zamboni, Maria Mousmouti, Felix Uhlmann and Felipe Andrade, who contributed to discussions on comparative legislative drafting, multilingual legislation, legislative impact assessment and the role of artificial intelligence in law-making.

The event provided an excellent platform for dialogue between European and Asian perspectives on legislation and regulatory governance, reflecting the growing importance of international cooperation in promoting high-quality law-making.
